O-Aw-Whoo, Hawaii I

Tim was honored to be the best man in his friend's wedding. As an added perk Elijah, Tim and I had to travel to Hawaii for a week to celebrate in the union of Wesley and Deedee's marriage. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony. I truly believe this couple is stronger together as they keep the Lord front and center.

Deedee was born and raised in Hawaii, Wesley is Oregon raised. Deedee performed a Hawaiian dance for her new husband.

Tim and Wes met in college. This group picture includes the other friends from OSU that were present.

O-Aw-Whoo II

Wedding dress attire.

Believe it or not the bridal party (Bride, Groom, Tim, and 2 Bridesmaids) went into the ocean on surfboards in their wedding attire for some amazing photography. The original plan was to catch some bigger waves, but this beach was most feasible.

Gorgeous!

With our first big traveling experience with Eli we tried to downsize our packing as much as possible. So Eli's bed was made from a dresser drawer. He didn't seem to mind it so much. I just have to put a side-note in that my mom made Eli's hawaiian shirts that you see in the pics. Thanks mom!

O-Aw-Whoo III

Eli's first experience feeling sand between the toes. He definitely seemed interested.

His first experience with the ocean --- not quite as positive. Can you tell? He did warm up to the idea the next time we tried.

Eli is still reeling over that big body of water.

Eli, just chillin', while dad is out surfing. I think he was a fan of the warm weather. We were very sad to head home. We are hoping to get a few more pics from friends to share with you later.

Mother's Day

A day of surprises!

1. I was awoken at 5 am by my husband holding my hungry little boy. Gotta love being a mom, always on call. (Why did I not hear him cry, like I always do?)
2. I went to go meet them in the nursery and was surprised to see a bunch of hearts cut out and spread all throughout his room.
3. I also had two cards. Apparently Eli had a hard time choosing between them.
4. Tim left for church and I went to change Eli's diaper. As I unzipped his sleeper I noticed a new onesie on him that said, "I love Mommy!" (Oh! Tim changed Eli into this outfit before church, hoping to put him back down for more sleep, only to find he was then ready to be awake.)
5. Eli and I got to church and found two red roses taped to my chair. Eli then decided he wanted my undivided attention, and I then had to miss out on the Mother's Day sermon.

The rest of the day was spent at my parents for a lovely dinner. Thanks Hubby!

Tummy Time

Eli is not really a fan of tummy time. He tends to get fussy after a couple minutes. But he finally had a breakthrough -- he flipped from his tummy to his back for the first time! That means he is able to get himself out of the position he dreads. He has accomplished this twice, but that was a couple weeks ago. Did he forget about this feat? I have since been anxiously awaiting his next flip to capture it on video camera.

Roll Over!

Eli rolled onto his side on Easter day!

Going.....
Going.....
Success!!!
