Introducing Elijah part 1

We'd like to introduce Elijah! He's 7 lbs 2 ozs, born on December 16th, and 20 inches of pure handiwork of our God. The Lord absolutely blessed every part of this process - from the no need for drugs to the labor that was less than 7 hours total. Just like Elijah's name means, the LORD is our God!

Suz, one of our best friends, was able to be one of the nurses for the delivery. Just another huge blessing.

Jamie with our new baby boy.

Apparently, Elijah was the 600th baby born at the Newberg Hospital this year, which was a milestone that the hospital was hoping to reach. As part of the celebration, they gave us "a major award!" (that's a line from the Christmas Story). We were gifted 600 diapers! They also took our photo with Suz and Nan (who delivered baby Eli), and framed it and all the nurses signed it. Again, just another great blessing from the Lord!

Introducing Elijah part 2

He's really good at making old man faces. This looks like he drooled blue onto the blanket, but that's just the print.

Uncle Nathan and Grand Mommie Mom meet Elijah for the first time.

This was on the 18th, which was Auntie Carrie's birthday! The 18th was Elijah's original due date.

G-Dad gets to hold baby Eli for the first time.

Introducing Elijah part 4

Grandmama and Grandpapa see Elijah for the first time. Grandpapa's birthday is on the 27th.

Cam and Ro brought us a chicken dinner! Cam's birthday was on the 18th too. Lots of December birthdays apparently!

The Lovely Ladies have added their first baby to the crew.

Joe did a good job - he didn't drop the baby. Elijah liked Joe so much that he kept pooping when Joe held him.

Some recent pics

This is a Thanksgiving shot with Jamie's family and my parents.

Baby boy is due in less than 2 weeks from today.
*Disclaimer - Jamie and baby were only 35 weeks in this photo.

We're getting ready to cross that bridge!
*Disclaimer - Figuratively, the baby bridge, not the bridge in the photo.

Linfield & L.O. Baby Shower

I enjoyed a wonderful baby shower with my childhood friends and my college friends.

Elizabeth (seen far left) hosted the celebration at her house. After the party, the Linfield Ladies came back to our place to see the nursery.

Lindsey, Rachelle and Belinda - good friends from growing up - came out to the baby shower too!

The Beaming Beaver Believers anxiously awaiting their new grandson! Thanks to a Duck (Belinda), our son will be well prepared for OSU events.

Hanging with the Ottaways

If you haven't read from a previous post - I (Tim) lost our camera while on a trip in Pennsylvania. Bummer

Mark and Kim Coburn from church have graciously loaned us one of their cameras to try out. Its wun'uh dem fancee camras. So here are some test photos we've been taking...

We went to our good friends, Brian and Amy's place to hang out and play cards a few weeks ago. This is candy corn.

This is Brian's game face.

This is Amy's game face.

This is our game face. Intimidated?

Donuts

Our friends, Wes and Dee Dee, were in town from Hawaii for a few days. Wes wanted to show Dee Dee the Voodoo Donuts shop in Portland.

If you've never been to Voodoo Donuts, they have an eccentric variety of toppings and names for their pastries. The ones that we bought are suitable for most audiences.

Left - "Voodoo Doll" has a pretzel stabbing it with red jelly filling that squirts out.

Top - "ODB" doesn't stand for Our Daily Bread in this case. Ask me if you can't figure out its full name. Oreos and peanut butter.

Right - "Captain my captain" - you guessed it, Cap'n Crunch cereal.

As genius as I am, I took a photo of the donuts and not the friends. Oh well. Cheers!

Cam's Wedding

Well, I (Tim) was in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania last weekend for Cam and Ro's wedding. I took a couple great photos, but lost the camera on the trip home. :(

So, be praying for our camera to show up! In the meantime, to not leave you too disappointed, here's a photo from my phone...

Em's Wedding part 1

Jamie was a bridesmaid for Em's wedding in Denver this past weekend.
It was a big event, to say the least! Here are some photos:

Here are the groomsmen taking photos before the wedding.
There were 11 bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Em's Wedding part 2

Here's the main cake, designed after Em's wedding dress.
Each table also had 3 sampler cakes.

The reception was in a ballroom at the Hyatt.
There was a really good live band and dj afterwards.

Trip to Oahu

We took a trip to Oahu to visit our good friends, Wesley and Deedee.

Here we are on our last night on Waikiki beach enjoying a beautiful sunset. Notice the prego bump (on Jamie).

Tim and Wesley were unsuccessful in their lookout for the resident shark. But they caught some waves instead.
